SOFT REBOOT
PROTO Gallery is pleased to announce SOFT REBOOT, a large-scale group exhibition commemorating the gallery’s fourth year of exhibition programming, opening June 3rd with a reception from 4 PM to 9 PM at 66 Willow Ave., Hoboken, NJ. The exhibition will close July 17th, 2017. The exhibition will coincide with FALSE INDIGO, a solo exhibition by PROTO represented artist Rob Ventura, curator of SOFT REBOOT.
SOFT REBOOT presents a selection of painting, drawing, sculpture, video, and installation meant to broadly reflect the exhibition history of PROTO Gallery. Contributing to the show are twenty-five locally and nationally-based artists, highlighting previous gallery participants, represented artists, and new artists consistent with the gallery’s program.
The show’s title is derived from the film industry term ‘soft reboot’, meant to denote the remaking of an older movie for a new and contemporary audience.
